This year Advent begins on December 2, 2018.
It is the first Sunday of December this year and marks the beginning of the Advent (Coming of Christ) season. I pray your Christmas Season will be blessed in looking at Biblical passages declaring the first coming of Christ.
This year we are doing something different rather than re-posting every post I have created a page for each week that will link to the posts for that week. In the navigation bar above you will find Advent related pages - What is Advent?, A list of Advent Readings that you can print and follow on your own. And I have Advent Week 1 as well.
Here is a sample of the first Post. The Theme for this week is:
The Light of Hope Shines in the Darkness
Sunday
A Great Light Will Shine
Isaiah 9:2-6
Isaiah 9:2-6
A Great Light will Shine |
"The people who walk in darkness
will see a great light.
For those who live in a land of deep darkness,
a light will shine...
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:2-6 NLT
Today I put up the same post as Advent for Kids for you to see. The
following day, the posts on Journey with Jesus will be much more
in-depth. Whereas the posts on Advent for Kids will be similar but more
kid/ family friendly. Enjoy this Season with your Lord and family.
Blessings ~
