All Things Under His Feet

Today's reading: Ephesians 1:19-22

In the book of Ephesians Paul tells us, that God in His mighty power raised Christ from the dead and

"seated Him at His right hand in heavenly places
far above all principality and power and might and dominion
and every name that is named,
not only in this age but in the age to come.
And He put all things under His feet,
and gave Him to be head over all things..."
Ephesians 1:19-22 NKJ

Jesus is above any power in the universe. The kings, presidents and dictators of our day may perceive themselves as mighty, ruling their countries, but God is laughing at them. They must look to Him as silly little ants battling over an ant hill. They set themselves up as kings, without a care of the One who is King over all. How dare they plot against the Lord and His Anointed one? Yet we see so much disregard toward God, Jesus and His people. Jesus is not only King over all the earthly authority, but powerful spirit entities that exercise tremendous control over the peoples of our earth today. They use blame and accusations to torment us with shame. But we as true believers in Christ must remember what He has done for us even now.

"He, (Christ) canceled the record of the charges against us
and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities.
He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross."
"As a result, He has brought you into his own presence,
and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault."
Colossians 2:14, 15 1:22 NLT

Jesus' power is not only in this age, but in the age to come. God has put all things under His feet, under His authority for Him to be head of all things!

I am so thankful that the Father and Christ have not left their thrones. They are in charge, and even when it seems our country and world is spinning out of order, the One who created order is in control.

Praise God for His Son, His Kingdom and everlasting life for those who fully trust in Him.
