King of Kings

Reading: Revelation 19:11-16

As Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the crowds were cheering and wondering if this was the coming of God's chosen one. In this time of great rejoicing, Messiah finally came in to the city of David, the city of the Great king. He was righteous, and just. In their eyes He was coming to make things right and end the injustice they lived under with the occupation of Rome. But that is not how it was to be. God's chosen One, came in humility. He rode on a little donkey, rather than a majestic horse. He came in peace, not in war. And now as we look ahead to the second coming of our Great King He will come very differently.

"Now I saw heaven open, and behold, a white horse,
and He who sat on him was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He judges and makes war...
His name is called The Word of God...
and He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."
Revelation 19:11-16 NKJ

Behold, Your King is coming to you!
