In All Things He may Have Preeminence

Reading: Colossians 1:12-20,

As I consider Christ the King, I am amazed by what is revealed in these verses below:

"He is the image of the invisible God
and the first born over all creation.
For by Him all things were created
that are in heaven and that are on the earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
All things were created through Him and for Him.
And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
And He is the head of the body, the church,
who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
and in all things He may have the preeminence. "
Colossians 1:15-18 NKJ

He is the image of the invisible God... the Creator of everything. As Creator He has authority over all created things, including the powers of darkness who exercise dominion over all unredeemed humanity. Because of this authority, He is able to redeem us and reconcile us to God.

He is eternal even to ages infinitely past into the infinite future eternity. In Him, everything literally holds together. He is the first to raise from the dead. He has led the way for us to follow Him into eternity. Finally, in everything He is to be preeminent, superior, standing out above all others!

"For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things,
to whom be glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:36 NKJ
Hallelujah! May He receive all the praise He deserves.
