"Joy to the world, the Lord is come.
Let earth receive Her King.
Let every heart prepare Him room."
Let earth receive Her King.
Let every heart prepare Him room."
There was no room for them in the Inn. So He, the King of all heaven and earth was born in a stable to simple peasants. Through the ages since His Coming, millions have prepared room for Him in their hearts across the face of the earth.
Joy pierced through the darkness of sin and entered the world as a baby, beginning the gathering of heaven and earth into one and the reconciliation of God and man. Though the Creator came unto His own creation, most did not recognize Him. But that did not keep heaven from rejoicing and those in whom His light has shown from worshiping the infant King.
He is the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords. Even Caesar obeyed Him by ordering a census that all the Roman Empire should be registered. In so doing, it required Joseph, of the lineage of David to return to his ancestral home of Bethlehem, the city of David. It was during this time that Christ was born in Bethlehem, just as foretold by the prophet Micah. He is the King promised to David, one from His own lineage who shall reign over his kingdom forever!
Advent is a time for us to slow down and ponder the fullness of God coming into this world as a baby, an infant King!
Joy to you this Christmas Season, our Lord IS come.
I pray you have opportunity to empty your heart to prepare Him room and receive your great King.

Thank you for inviting me! I'm sorry I'm so late to join in. I'll read the days I missed. This is SO needed and SO beautiful. :)
These scriptures describe the true meaning of Christmas. A great company of heavenly host appeared with the angel in the sky to the shepherds in the fields. The heavenly host began to praise God and said "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests." Our Saviour was born in a humble manger. Jesus came to earth to save us.
Just imagine the shepherds in the fields suddenly seeing the angel and the heavenly host, with the glory of the Lord all around them!!!!! The shepherds went to see Jesus, the Messiah, born in the manger. This is for us.
Let's fully absorb the true meaning of Christmas. Our Father loves us so deeply, He sent His only Son to save us.
Thank you, Father God for sending us Jesus. We embrace the meaning of Christmas and we honor and celebrate the birth of the Christ Child.
I have time to spend with my family and friends,to wrap gifts and bake. Surely I have time to spend with our Saviour and thank Him and read His Word.
The King has come!
Welcome, ring-a-dingding! :)We are glad to have you join our conversation.
The Christmas Story is so simple and beautiful, a child can enjoy it; yet it is profound enough to keep God's children in awe for a life time as they ponder the glory and the reality of what God has done and is yet to do.
I woke up this morning to post todays reading Glory in the Highest, and found your inspiring entry. Bless you today as you marvel in His Glory.
Thank you SO much. I appreciate your blog and the invitation to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. :)
Oh...and I changed my user name from ring-a-dingding to MCB...hahahaaaa I didn't know how to use my account and didn't realize it would use a part of my email address as a name. oooops Sorry about the confusion. :)
I thought it was a cute name. I love what you write and just wanted to know who you are. Marjie let me know. Sorry I accidentally had the wrong scripture reference for the commentary on "Christ born of Mary". ooops Sorry about the confusion there as well. :)
Sometimes we get frustrated for not being noticed by others. That frustration stems from the fact that we know we have value and much to offer to those who surround us. To be ignored and taken lightly is very frustrating. We all want to be recognized for who we are and loved....
The Scripture passage today reminds us that Jesus Himself, the Son of God, the Word of God, the Creator of the Universe and everything in it was ignored from Day 1 when He came into this world. Except for a few, no one took Him seriously or believed Him. He had to put up with being unpopular and not taken seriously all His life.
We, who have decided follow Him, must remember that we are to walk in His footsteps and put up with all the injustices that He went through. It's frustrating, yes, but the servant is not higher than the Master. So be it. May the Lord give us the courage and fill our hearts with His unconditional love towards all who surround us, even those who are completely indifferent to us. That's the way of the Cross.
Well said. I just read this after I posted the Dec 16th reading, Light of the World. Check it out. The way is not easy, if we are to follow Him.
